# FixMate vs Scanstead

The clearest difference is monetization model: FixMate at free against Scanstead's subscription. FixMate also leads on ratings volume (29 vs 1). Scanstead's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.6). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. FixMate sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Scanstead sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $10.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Scanstead holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: FixMate has 29 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 18, 2026 and September 30, 2026 respectively.
