# The Ick + vs Barchat

The clearest difference is update cadence: Barchat at every 2 days against The Ick +'s every 6 weeks. The Ick +'s advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 17.0). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. The Ick + sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Barchat sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

The Ick + ships an update every 6 weeks, Barchat every 2 days. Both last shipped on October 3, 2026.
