# mscLive vs PlavioTV

The clearest difference is ads: mscLive at none against PlavioTV's shown. PlavioTV's advantage is update cadence (every 2 days vs every 5 months) and iOS requirement (16.0 vs 18.2). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. mscLive sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $2.99 per month and PlavioTV sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

mscLive ships an update every 5 months, PlavioTV every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on June 2, 2026 and September 15, 2026 respectively.
