# UN Decoder & Hazmat vs GEN

The clearest difference is update cadence: GEN at every 3 days against UN Decoder & Hazmat's monthly. UN Decoder & Hazmat's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 17.5). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. UN Decoder & Hazmat sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and GEN sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

UN Decoder & Hazmat ships an update monthly, GEN every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 2, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
