# Paint Codex vs Grey to Glory

The clearest difference is update cadence: Grey to Glory at every 2 days against Paint Codex's fortnightly. Paint Codex's advantage is iOS requirement (16.0 vs 18.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Paint Codex sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Grey to Glory sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Paint Codex ships an update fortnightly, Grey to Glory every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
