# CDL Prep Practice Test vs CDL Pro

The clearest difference is update cadence: CDL Prep Practice Test at every 3 days against CDL Pro's every 4 weeks. CDL Prep Practice Test also leads on ratings volume (2.5K vs 1). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. CDL Prep Practice Test sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $11.99 per 7 days and CDL Pro sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

CDL Pro holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: CDL Prep Practice Test has 2.5K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

CDL Prep Practice Test ships an update every 3 days, CDL Pro every 4 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
