# CDL Prep Practice Test vs CDL Prep Pro

The clearest difference is ads: CDL Prep Practice Test at none against CDL Prep Pro's shown. CDL Prep Practice Test also leads on update cadence (every 3 days vs every 5 weeks) and ratings volume (2.5K vs 2). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. CDL Prep Practice Test sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $11.99 per 7 days and CDL Prep Pro sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

CDL Prep Pro holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: CDL Prep Practice Test has 2.5K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

CDL Prep Practice Test ships an update every 3 days, CDL Prep Pro every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
