# Snipp vs LocalNote

The clearest difference is ads: LocalNote at none against Snipp's shown. Snipp's advantage is update cadence (every 5 days vs every 3 months) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 26.0). On price, rating, ratings volume and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Snipp sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $2.99 per month and LocalNote sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Snipp ships an update every 5 days, LocalNote every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 19, 2026 respectively.
