# Inkiostro vs Downward

The clearest difference is update cadence: Downward at daily against Inkiostro's every 6 days. Inkiostro's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (18.0 vs 26.0). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Inkiostro sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Downward sells 5 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Inkiostro ships an update every 6 days, Downward daily. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
