# Inkiostro vs cDox

The clearest difference is rating: cDox at 5.0 against Inkiostro's 3.2. Inkiostro's advantage is ratings volume (5 vs 1). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Inkiostro sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and cDox sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

cDox holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Inkiostro has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Inkiostro ships an update every 6 days, cDox every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
