# Inkiostro vs Foldleaf Reader

The clearest difference is update cadence: Inkiostro at every 6 days against Foldleaf Reader's fortnightly. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Inkiostro sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Foldleaf Reader sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Inkiostro ships an update every 6 days, Foldleaf Reader fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
