# Reach Test Prep vs Smart Minis

The clearest difference is monetization model: Reach Test Prep at free against Smart Minis's free with in-app purchases. Reach Test Prep also leads on ratings volume (6 vs 1). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Reach Test Prep sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $9.99 per month and Smart Minis sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Reach Test Prep against 5.0 for Smart Minis. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Reach Test Prep has 6 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Reach Test Prep ships an update every 3 weeks, Smart Minis every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 19, 2026 respectively.
