# Fartlek vs Caloroo

The clearest difference is update cadence: Fartlek at every 4 days against Caloroo's fortnightly. Caloroo's advantage is iOS requirement (15.5 vs 18.5). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Fartlek sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days and Caloroo sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Fartlek ships an update every 4 days, Caloroo fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
