# MaXXpreps vs Sentinel

The clearest difference is rating: MaXXpreps at 5.0 against Sentinel's 3.0. MaXXpreps also leads on ratings volume (5 vs 1). Sentinel's advantage is monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and device support (3 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MaXXpreps sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Sentinel sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $24.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

MaXXpreps holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MaXXpreps has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
