# Remarkable AI vs AI Writing Tools

The clearest difference is monetization model: Remarkable AI at free against AI Writing Tools's freemium. Remarkable AI also leads on ratings volume (15 vs 2) and device support (3 vs 1). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Remarkable AI sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and AI Writing Tools sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Remarkable AI against 5.0 for AI Writing Tools. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Remarkable AI has 15 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Remarkable AI ships an update every 9 days, AI Writing Tools fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
