# Snip 'N' Split vs Sand Shape

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Snip 'N' Split at 100% against Sand Shape's 35%. Snip 'N' Split also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 14) and ads (none vs shown). Sand Shape's advantage is rating (4.6 vs 4.0) and ratings volume (585 vs 2). On price, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Sand Shape sells 14 one-off in-app purchases. Snip 'N' Split asks for nothing beyond the download.

Sand Shape holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Sand Shape has 585 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Snip 'N' Split's written reviews are positive against 35% of Sand Shape's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
