# Zen vs Pacely Step

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Zen at none against Pacely Step's 1. Zen also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 17.0). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Pacely Step sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Zen asks for nothing beyond the download.

Zen ships an update fortnightly, Pacely Step every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
