# Vread vs Aleph

The clearest difference is update cadence: Aleph at daily against Vread's weekly. Vread's advantage is ratings volume (15 vs 1) and monetization model (freemium vs paid). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Vread sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and Aleph sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Vread against 5.0 for Aleph. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Vread has 15 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Vread ships an update weekly, Aleph daily. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
