# Biochemistry+ vs Algo Viewer

The clearest difference is update cadence: Biochemistry+ at every 2 weeks against Algo Viewer's every 6 weeks. Biochemistry+ also leads on iOS requirement (17.0 vs 26.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Biochemistry+ sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per 7 days and Algo Viewer sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Biochemistry+ ships an update every 2 weeks, Algo Viewer every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
