# Prayr vs 5Locks

Prayr and 5Locks both sit at 4.8 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of 5Locks's written reviews are positive against 56% of Prayr's. 5Locks also leads on monetization model (freemium vs subscription). Prayr's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (1.5K vs 56). On price, rating, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Prayr sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and 5Locks sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Prayr holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Prayr has 1.5K ratings behind it against 56, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 56% of Prayr's written reviews are positive against 100% of 5Locks's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Prayr ships an update every 10 days, 5Locks every 9 days. Both last shipped on November 5, 2026.
