# VPN vs Fast VPN

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: VPN at none against Fast VPN's 1. VPN also leads on review sentiment (31% vs 0%) and rating (4.3 vs 4.0). Fast VPN's advantage is update cadence (every 2 days vs every 10 days) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 18.0). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Fast VPN sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $2.99 per month. VPN asks for nothing beyond the download.

VPN holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: VPN has 16 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 31% of VPN's written reviews are positive against 0% of Fast VPN's.

VPN ships an update every 10 days, Fast VPN every 2 days. Both last shipped on October 30, 2026.
