# Open Studio Jazz vs Improvy

Open Studio Jazz and Improvy are too close to call on the numbers: across 6 compared parameters — price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases among them — neither pulls far enough ahead to decide it. What separates them is feature set and interface, not measurable difference.

Both are free to download. Open Studio Jazz sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $39.00 per month and Improvy sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Open Studio Jazz ships an update every 5 days, Improvy every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
