# GoRap vs GrooveNotes

The clearest difference is update cadence: GrooveNotes at every 4 days against GoRap's every 6 months. GoRap's advantage is iOS requirement (12.0 vs 26.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. GoRap sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $2.99 per month and GrooveNotes sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $9.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

GoRap ships an update every 6 months, GrooveNotes every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 2, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
