# Moonifest vs Golden Thread

The clearest difference is monetization model: Moonifest at free against Golden Thread's free with in-app purchases. Moonifest also leads on ratings volume (15 vs 2) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 26.1). Golden Thread's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.7). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Moonifest sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $4.99 per month and Golden Thread sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Golden Thread holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Moonifest has 15 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.
