# GlowFable vs HookReels

The clearest difference is update cadence: HookReels at every 4 days against GlowFable's every 11 days. HookReels also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 17.6). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. GlowFable sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $17.99 per 7 days and HookReels sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

GlowFable ships an update every 11 days, HookReels every 4 days. Both last shipped on October 9, 2026.
