# Chief As vs RE

The clearest difference is update cadence: RE at every 9 days against Chief As's every 2 months. RE also leads on iOS requirement (14.0 vs 18.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Chief As ships an update every 2 months, RE every 9 days. Both last shipped on October 25, 2026.
