# Advance vs Ici

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Ici at 100% against Advance's 0%. Ici also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 4) and update cadence (every 6 days vs every 3 weeks). Advance's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and rating (5.0 vs 4.6). On price, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Advance sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Ici asks for nothing beyond the download.

Advance holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Ici has 10 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 0% of Advance's written reviews are positive against 100% of Ici's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Advance ships an update every 3 weeks, Ici every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
