# Cumbersome vs ChatExport

The clearest difference is rating: Cumbersome at 4.9 against ChatExport's 4.6. Cumbersome also leads on update cadence (every 4 days vs every 2 weeks) and ratings volume (100 vs 16). ChatExport's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 88%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Cumbersome sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and ChatExport sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Cumbersome holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Cumbersome has 100 ratings behind it against 16, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 88% of Cumbersome's written reviews are positive against 100% of ChatExport's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Cumbersome ships an update every 4 days, ChatExport every 2 weeks. Both last shipped on November 5, 2026.
