# FilmMeter vs light & deep

The clearest difference is update cadence: FilmMeter at every 2 days against light & deep's every 2 weeks. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. FilmMeter sells 4 one-off in-app purchases and light & deep sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

FilmMeter ships an update every 2 days, light & deep every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
