# Lost Vault vs Dark Frequency

The clearest difference is ads: Dark Frequency at none against Lost Vault's shown. Lost Vault's advantage is ratings volume (15 vs 1) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). On price, rating, review sentiment and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Lost Vault sells 7 one-off in-app purchases and Dark Frequency sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Lost Vault against 5.0 for Dark Frequency. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Lost Vault has 15 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 100% and 100% positive.

Lost Vault ships an update every 4 days, Dark Frequency every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
