# RetroPix vs DualCap

The clearest difference is update cadence: DualCap at every 5 days against RetroPix's every 2 months. RetroPix's advantage is iOS requirement (13.0 vs 26.1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. RetroPix sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days and DualCap sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

RetroPix ships an update every 2 months, DualCap every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
