# Screen Time Control vs PandaPaus

The clearest difference is ads: Screen Time Control at none against PandaPaus's shown. Screen Time Control also leads on ratings volume (77 vs 11). PandaPaus's advantage is update cadence (every 4 days vs fortnightly) and review sentiment (100% vs 83%). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Screen Time Control sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and PandaPaus sells 11 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for Screen Time Control against 4.9 for PandaPaus. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Screen Time Control has 77 ratings behind it against 11, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 83% of Screen Time Control's written reviews are positive against 100% of PandaPaus's.

Screen Time Control ships an update fortnightly, PandaPaus every 4 days. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
