# DGen vs DayKit

The clearest difference is ads: DayKit at none against DGen's shown. DayKit also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 6 months). DGen's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 26.0). On price and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. DGen sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $4.99 per month and DayKit sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

DGen ships an update every 6 months, DayKit weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 5, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
