# Wordfinity vs Cryptex

The clearest difference is update cadence: Cryptex at every 4 days against Wordfinity's every 3 months. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Wordfinity sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Cryptex sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Wordfinity ships an update every 3 months, Cryptex every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 3, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
