# StarForge vs Relock

The clearest difference is monetization model: Relock at free with in-app purchases against StarForge's subscription. Relock also leads on update cadence (every 3 days vs every 3 months). StarForge's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.5) and ratings volume (6 vs 2). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. StarForge sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Relock sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

StarForge holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 6 and 2 respectively. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 100% and 100% positive.

StarForge ships an update every 3 months, Relock every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
