# TABS vs Capsule Notes

The clearest difference is update cadence: TABS at every 2 weeks against Capsule Notes's every 5 months. TABS also leads on iOS requirement (15.0 vs 26.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. TABS sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and Capsule Notes sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

TABS ships an update every 2 weeks, Capsule Notes every 5 months. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and September 30, 2026 respectively.
