# Background Audio Player vs ChartPad

The clearest difference is update cadence: Background Audio Player at every 2 weeks against ChartPad's every 3 months. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Background Audio Player sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days and ChartPad sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Background Audio Player ships an update every 2 weeks, ChartPad every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
