# Synkit vs Plant Step

The clearest difference is update cadence: Plant Step at every 10 days against Synkit's every 4 weeks. Synkit's advantage is iOS requirement (15.1 vs 18.5). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Synkit sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month and Plant Step sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Synkit ships an update every 4 weeks, Plant Step every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
