# ThemeMate DIY Themes & Widgets vs Mimicly

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Mimicly at 100% against ThemeMate DIY Themes & Widgets's 53%. Mimicly also leads on ads (none vs shown). ThemeMate DIY Themes & Widgets's advantage is rating (4.5 vs 3.7) and ratings volume (27K vs 3). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ThemeMate DIY Themes & Widgets sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days and Mimicly sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

ThemeMate DIY Themes & Widgets holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ThemeMate DIY Themes & Widgets has 27K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 53% of ThemeMate DIY Themes & Widgets's written reviews are positive against 100% of Mimicly's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

ThemeMate DIY Themes & Widgets ships an update every 3 days, Mimicly every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 4, 2026 and November 2, 2026 respectively.
