# StudyLabAI vs Notedrill

The clearest difference is review sentiment: StudyLabAI at 100% against Notedrill's 50%. StudyLabAI also leads on monetization model (freemium vs subscription). Notedrill's advantage is rating (4.6 vs 4.3) and ratings volume (41 vs 4). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. StudyLabAI sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $14.99 per month and Notedrill sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Notedrill holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Notedrill has 41 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of StudyLabAI's written reviews are positive against 50% of Notedrill's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

StudyLabAI ships an update every 3 weeks, Notedrill every 11 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
