# Timecode DSLR vs BlurCam Record

The clearest difference is update cadence: BlurCam Record at every 2 weeks against Timecode DSLR's every 6 months. Timecode DSLR's advantage is device support (3 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Timecode DSLR sells 2 one-off in-app purchases and BlurCam Record sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Timecode DSLR ships an update every 6 months, BlurCam Record every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
