# GoldCal vs Arca

The clearest difference is update cadence: Arca at every 9 days against GoldCal's every 4 months. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. GoldCal sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Arca sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

GoldCal ships an update every 4 months, Arca every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 9, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
