# Nota vs Brief Note

The clearest difference is device support: Nota at 3 against Brief Note's 1. Brief Note's advantage is iOS requirement (16.4 vs 26.0). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Nota sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days and Brief Note sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Nota ships an update every 9 days, Brief Note fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 23, 2026 respectively.
