# Stellas vs MindType

The clearest difference is update cadence: Stellas at every 2 weeks against MindType's monthly. Stellas also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 26.2). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Stellas sells 10 one-off in-app purchases and MindType sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Stellas ships an update every 2 weeks, MindType monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
