# GunStatus vs Backlog

The clearest difference is update cadence: GunStatus at every 4 days against Backlog's every 5 weeks. Backlog's advantage is iOS requirement (13.0 vs 17.6). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. GunStatus sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Backlog sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

GunStatus ships an update every 4 days, Backlog every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
