# Reset vs Stepdown

The clearest difference is update cadence: Stepdown at every 3 days against Reset's every 3 weeks. Reset's advantage is monetization model (free vs freemium) and review sentiment (75% vs 55%). On price, rating, ratings volume and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Reset sells 14 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Stepdown sells 13 in-app purchases, starting at $3.49 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.5 for Reset against 4.5 for Stepdown. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 70 and 67 respectively. Written reviews are what separate them: 75% of Reset's written reviews are positive against 55% of Stepdown's.

Reset ships an update every 3 weeks, Stepdown every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
