# Platoon vs Dimmer

The clearest difference is ads: Platoon at none against Dimmer's shown. Dimmer's advantage is update cadence (daily vs every 5 days). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Platoon sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per month and Dimmer sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $5.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
