# Thinking Games vs Thread

The clearest difference is ads: Thinking Games at none against Thread's shown. Thinking Games also leads on iOS requirement (16.0 vs 18.0). Thread's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs monthly). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Thinking Games sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Thread sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Thinking Games ships an update monthly, Thread fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
