# SMS Forwarder vs Forward Message

The clearest difference is rating: Forward Message at 5.0 against SMS Forwarder's 4.4. Forward Message also leads on update cadence (every 6 days vs every 2 weeks) and device support (3 vs 1). SMS Forwarder's advantage is ratings volume (36 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SMS Forwarder sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per 7 days and Forward Message sells 7 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Forward Message holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SMS Forwarder has 36 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

SMS Forwarder ships an update every 2 weeks, Forward Message every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
