# LockScreenNotes vs Stash

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: LockScreenNotes at none against Stash's 4. LockScreenNotes also leads on ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (1.7K vs 1). Stash's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.8). On price, update cadence, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Stash sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. LockScreenNotes asks for nothing beyond the download.

Stash holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: LockScreenNotes has 1.7K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 87% of LockScreenNotes's written reviews are positive against 79% of Stash's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

LockScreenNotes ships an update weekly, Stash every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
